TO ALL THE MATSON'S OUT THERE,
When i first started looking for a name for Website, i wanted Carolmatson.com but it was already gone, to another Carol Matson who has the Website Gems and more. Then i put in a Google alert for all the Carol Matson’s out there, an out came another one a Toronto Artist. So now my mission is so link us all up, on the Internet if that is possible.

A little bit about myself, i was born and raised in Hull UK , i am fast approaching 5 decades, that sounds a little bit younger than the big 50! Don’t you think?
Was born a Matson, i am currently living in Mojacar Almeria Spain.
My Website is still in the early stages yet, only started it April 2010, i have a few others on the Internet already. One nearly a year old and two others again only been on the Internet the month of April. And three Blogs which i really do not have a clue about doing, but i am getting there. That’s enough about me for now.
So to my plan, at first i thought i would try and get in touch with all the Carol Matson’s, but now i want to include all the Matson’s from around the world, and try and link us all up via the Website’s.
Just by giving a little information about yourselves or your business on the Internet, that is alright too.
I know from doing my family tree that i have some family in America, i was in contact with a very nice gentleman by the name of Don, our family tree matched up in 1851, when two of my ancestors, emigrated to America to escape the cholera epidemic, in Hull.
These where Joseph Matson born 28 June 1809. and his son Daniel Matson, born 28 April 1842. Daniel's mother died in Hull (Susanna Blackley) of Cholera in 1850. This is Daniel's story
Daniel's story was past on to me by his descendant Donald Matson. both Daniel And Joseph emigrated to America in 1851, Joseph died on the Mississippi river on arrival of cholera leaving myself alone and unable to get back to my family in Hull England. I was taken in by a family in Iowa.
Second story. in the Brig Consort My father Joseph being the Captain, in this ship i made a voyage to saint Petersburg in the Russian territories on the return trip late in November sailing the gift of Finland at night. the sea running high wind blowing a hurricane we struck an over turned Hull of a wreck, my father Joseph seized the wheel and headed the ship towards a shore of an island. i retreated to the safety of below decks. the ship sank most of the crew and myself and my father survived, we were rescued we then made our way back to England.
My family was started by Joseph’s brother Daniel in Hull UK you can see from my family tree what I mean.
